Conference & AGM
The Mid Down Support Group is holding its AGM & One-day
Conference on Thursday 3rd November 2011 in the Lodge,
Dublin Road, Castlewellan. The day will begin at 10.15am with
registration. The AGM will commence at 10.30am.
The programme is based on topics that are relevant to people
affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Our guest speakers bring a wide
range of knowledge to the conference and we hope that people
affected by a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis will come along and
when they leave at the end of the day they will have information
that will help them in their everyday life.

Charities to the fore at Ardglass Golf
Club...
The recent Captain's, Lady Captain's and President's Days at
Ardglass Golf Club raised almost £5000 for several local charities.
At the presentation of cheques in Ardglass on Thursday are club
captain Cormac MacMullan who presented £1,200 to Rosie Hassin from
the Ulster Cancer Foundation's Think Pink campaign and the
same amount to Mid Down MS Support Group representatives Niall
Magee, Josie Byrne (secretary) and Mary Killen.

Downpatrick Lions Club are holding a table Quiz in The
Lakeside Inn Ballydugan.
The proceeds will going to our group.
The quiz will start at 8pm sharp on 24th September and it will be
finished at 11.30. Teams of 6, £5 per person.
We would like to support this so if you can get a team together it
would be great. You need to let me know as soon as possible as
tables need to be booked.

There will be a 10 mile Charity cycle held in
Newcastle on Saturday 24th September
With the proceeds going to our group. So if you have any
enthuiastic cyclists among you then get to Downs Road Car park at
10am on the above date.
The Cycle is being organised by the Truesdale family in Newcastle
in memory of their late mother Joan Truesdale who had
MS.
Sponsorships forms are available just let me know if you need
some. It would be great if we could support this event which is
going to raise vital funds for our group.

Saturday 11th June 2011 in Golf Links House Dundrum Road
Newcastle.
The menu is as
attached.
If you could select your menu choices and let me know on or
before Monday 6th June 2011.
It is essential that you contact me on or before the above date
as I will not be able to take your booking after that date.
